Ocean Lakes Family Campground was built by Mary Emily and Nelson Jackson along with their five daughters, starting in 1970.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach, SC is celebrating 40 years of creating family memories that last a lifetime! The campground opened on July 2, 1971 with 30 sites and one bathhouse. Today, Ocean Lakes has more than 3500 sites and has won national and regional recognition for its outstanding customer service and amenities. During 2011, Ocean Lakes’ team shared some archived photos and memorabilia.
